| CAMPUS OUTREACH: CONDOM
GIFT PACKS

Student Working Group, consisting of volunteers
co-ordinated by the Campus HIV/AIDS Support Unit
team, developed and produced “Condom Gift
Packs” to distribute to fellow-students
and their partners at various Residence annual
social functions.
Plain white condom boxes, kindly donated by
Kohler Carton and Print, containing two condoms
(supplied free of charge by the Department of
Health) and an information leaflet designed by
the students, were sealed with gold and silver
ribbon and a heart or star sticker.
The gift-packs have been very well- received,
and students have reported that they were grateful
for the free access to the condoms as well as
the useful information provided in the leaflet.
Other campus NGO units have heard of the success
of the gift-packs and requested supplies to distribute
at their HIV/AIDS training sessions for school-learners
and at youth events. Halala to our creative and
hardworking student volunteers for their cleverness,
commitment and caring!
